ABOUT US

Creole Treasures started out as a hobby.  A friend had been trying for years to convince me to go to beading classes with her. She talked about how much fun it was but I never seemed to have the time.  Then finally, one Saturday we went out to lunch and she asked if it was okay to stop by the bead shop so that she could buy some more beads for a necklace she was making.  Well long story short, I met the ladies at the shop and more importantly I met the lady who was teaching the beading class.  Well, I was hooked.  

That was five years ago.  The more I learned the more I wanted to learn. The more complicated the stitch or pattern, the more interested I was. For each holiday or birthday, my female friends and family received a piece of my handcrafted jewelry.  Then I started being asked if I sold my jewelry and/or if I could make something for a special occasion. I started to realize that maybe this could be a second source of income.  Why not make a business doing something I love.

With the encouragement of friends and family, Creole Treasures Jewelry, LLC was born. 

My slogan is Crafted by Dedrea, made for everyone!(I'd like to thank my godson for that perfect slogan) There will be no women's jewelry over here and men's jewelry over there. As I branch out and experiment with my own designs, I want my customers to have fun with my jewelry. Be adventurous, have fun, be yourself, experiment, be as unique as the jewelry. Don't let anyone tell you you can't be.  If you see something you like, then I would be honored if you bought the piece or pieces and felt beautiful/handsome wearing them.
